From the Central African GIS dataset, we have selected some layers
that can be downloaded in ARCVIEW and ARCINFO
formats. The output from these datasets can be downloaded seperately as
color postscript files.
GIS datalayers list by coverage type:
- Population data
- Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly Zaire)
- Gabon
- Cameroon
- Vegetation Maps
- Congo
- Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly Zaire)
- Gabon
- Cameroon

The following table contains downloadable arc/info/view data layers in
a zip format that is readable by both PC and UNIX machines. Each .zip package
contains the .shp, .shx, .e00, .dbf and .tbl files that correspond to the
product layers. The .doc and/or .txt files contain legends and source information.
PC users can use PKZIP from www.pkware.com
to unpack .zip files. UNIX users can use the unzip command. Postscript
files (.ps) can be downloaded seperately for printing to a color postscript
printer. Jpegs are for illustration.
