Phase II : Disturbance Mapping
One main goal of NAFD Phase II is to lower uncertainty in nationwide estimates of forest disturbance and regrowth dynamics that were derived during PhaseI. This will be achieved by spatially extensifying the number of landsat scenes sampled across the coterminous US, from 23 to nearly 50. Also, the error reduction achieved by temporally intensifying already existing LTSS will be further investigated.
