NASA's Goddard Space Science Center:
Department of Atmospheric Sciences
The Biospheric Sciences Branch studies terrestrial ecosystems and their interactions with the atmosphere using multiscale remote sensing, modeling, and advanced analytical techniques. Through its work the Branch assesses and predicts environmental changes due to natural and anthropogenic processes at local to global scales.
United States Dept. of Agriculture: United States Forest Service
Established in 1905, the Forest Service is an agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The Forest Service manages public lands in national forests and grasslands.

United States Geological Survey:
Earth Resources Observations and Sciences (EROS)The Center for Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) is a data management, systems development, and research field center for the U.S. Geological Survey's (USGS) Geography Discipline.
University of Maryland:
Department of GeographyFaculty in the Department of Geography are at the forefront of the discipline's future with projects that literally encompass the whole Earth. By dissolving the boundary between social and physical science we are exploring the human dimensions of global change. Our goal is to better understand the Earth's land surface and the way humans interact with it.
Oregon State University:
Laboratary for Applications of Remote Sensing in Ecology:The Laboratory for Applications of Remote Sensing in Ecology (LARSE) is a joint research effort of the USDA Forest Service, PNW Research Station, and the OSU College of Forestry's Department of Forest Ecosystems and Society.
Terrestrial Ecosystem Research and Analysis GroupThe mission of the Terrestrial Ecosystem Research and Regional Analysis group (TERRA-PNW) is to quantify and understand the response of terrestrial ecosystems to natural and human-induced changes such as climate, wildfire and land management practices. TERRA-PNW projects include leading the AmeriFlux network of about 120 research sites, where the goal is to understand how forests, grasslands, shrublands and croplands influence and are influenced by global climate change, and how climate and disturbance from human activities affect the carbon balance of the land. AmeriFlux has a pivitol role in the North American Carbon Program, which is part of the US Carbon Cycle Science Program.
Department of Rangleand Ecology- Rick Miller
Colorado State University:
Department of Atmospheric Sciences- Scott Denning
University of British Columbia:
Integrated Remote Sensing Studio / Dept. of Forest Resources ManagementWoods Hole Research Center:
The Woods Hole Research Center conducts research, identifies policies, and supports educational activities that advance the well-being of humans and of the environment. Our mission is to understand the causes and consequences of environmental change as a basis for policy solutions for a better world.
Secretaría del Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales (SEMARNAT)
Comisíon Nacional Forestal:The secretariate of environmental and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT) is Mexico's environment ministry. Its reponsibilities include protecting, restoring, and conserving the ecosystems, natural resources, assets and environmental services of Mexico with the goal of fostering sustainable development.
Natural Resources of Canada:
Canadian Forest ServiceThe Canadian Forest Service promotes the sustainable development of Canada's forests and the competitiveness of the Canadian forest sector.
Canadian Carbon Program:
Fluxnet Canada:Fluxnet-Canada is a national research network bringing together university and government scientists to study the influence of climate and disturbance on carbon cycling in Canadian forest and peatland ecosystems.
