Open Position: Lecturer in Geospatial Sciences

Duties: Position in the Department of Geography for a lecturer in geospatial sciences. This position is expected to being on or about August 2008. We seek a candidate who will provide expert teaching support for the new Master of Professional Studies in Geospatial Information Sciences. The teaching load for the position will be four courses, or their equivalent, per semester. Summer teaching assignments may be available.

Qualifications: A Ph.D. in geography or a related area is required. The person chosen for the position will be broadly trained in both geographic information systems and remote sensing. The ability to teach in the areas of spatial databases and geographic modeling is desirable. Experience in teaching online courses is also desirable.
