Campus Returns to the Western Hemisphere Thanks to Ivan Csiszar

Eagle-eyed Associate Research Scientist Ivan Csiszar noticed that the sundial on the campus mall incorrectly described the campus as being situated at longitude 76 degrees E, which placed the campus somewhere in far western China. See the photograph below taken by Ivan.

The campus authorities were informed some months ago about this situation, when the chair commented that he knew we wanted to build closer relationships with China but this was a little ridiculous. It has just been announced that funds have been allocated to correct this and to refurbish the sun dial.
