Q: Can I Access the Internet and my Glue E-Mail from Home?

A: Glue is a campus-only e-mail system. For access to the net from home, you'll need a WAM (Workstations At Maryland) account (WAM accounts are similar to Glue accounts in most respects, except they have a modem pool). For a WAM account, follow the directions at the following link: How Do You Apply for a WAM/GLUE Account?. In order to get your account approved, you'll need to walk over to room 1400 in the Computer and Space Sciences Building and show the help desk your ID. You will be given information about the account and how to dial in to the University. Once you have the account set up, you can use telnet to access your glue account.
