Q: I get "Segmentation Violation" when trying to display a coverage, what do I do?

A: From the ArcView Help Files:

Segmentation Violations are caused by attempts in the low-level ArcView code to access a memory address for which it doesn't have permission, such as accessing another process's memory space or trying to write to a read-only section of memory. After a Segmentation Violation ArcView is in an unstable state, so you should quit ArcView and then restart it.

Logout and log back in before attempting to restart ArcView.
