The Beaverdam Creek Watershed is found in Prince George's County, Maryland and is in the coastal plain physiographic province.

Natural and agricultural land cover types dominate the landscape with residential areas only on the periphery.

The Watershed's wetlands are primarily continuous and associated with stream channels. Some of the breaks in wetland patches that are evident may be due to the area's roads, but there are far fewer roads in this Watershed than in the Northwest Branch and Sligo Creek Watersheds.
