Adjunct Faculty: Lado Kenyi
Lado Kenyi is a research scholar with the lidar group at the University of Maryland. He is sponsored by the European Union (EU) under the Marie Curie outgoing international fellowship program. He completed his PhD in Applied Mathematics at Graz University of Technology (Austria) in 1995. His current research focuses on retrieval of biophysical parameters by the combined use of lidar and other EO remotely sensed data. Before joining the University of Maryland in June 2005, he served as a remote sensing research scientist at the Institute for Digital Image Processing, Joanneum Research Forschungsgesselschaft mbH in Graz, Austria. During this period he led the development of the SAR interferometry processing tools that are part of the institute developed commercial software package RSG “Remote sensing Software Graz”. He also performed research work and managed a number of ESA and EU supported projects and other projects that were financed by the Austrian government.
